The event is held on the Thursday and Friday after the second weekend in April. Camping and launching is at Spring Bar campground 14 miles east of Riggins, Idaho. Thursday is set aside as a practice day, Friday is the &#8220;official&#8221; run date. This run is always a popular event and presents a wonderful opportunity to experience exciting whitewater, breath-taking scenery, and not-often-seen wildlife.<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This is the longest and arguably the most technical run on WWA&#8217;s annual schedule. Participants travel 40 miles up river and climb five Class III+ rapids and dozens of smaller ones. This run coincides with the Riggins jet boat races and many members of the club volunteer to be safety boats.
