The lower Boise River, from the Americana Bridge, in Boise, Idaho to the confluence with the Snake river is open to jetboating.
This is a braided river system, with many islands, and gravel bars. Along with the natural hazards, there are many man made hazards such as diversions dams, large amounts of scrap concrete dumped into the river as well as car bodies. Other obstructions such as low bridges and tree branches can pose hazards to the boater.
There are several unimproved ramps at Eagle, Caldwell and Parma. There is also a ramp at the Fort Boise Wildlife Management Area on the Snake river that has close access to the Boise River confluence.
